Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Chapter of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) organized the Udyam Pragati Workshop 2026 at PHD House in Lucknow, bringing together a large number of MSME entrepreneurs, with notable participation from women-led enterprises.
The workshop aimed to strengthen small-scale industries, cottage industries, and women entrepreneurs by providing insights into government schemes, institutional support, and business growth opportunities. Representatives from National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and Laghu Udyog Bharati were also present.
Key speakers at the event included Sunil Kumar, Joint Commissioner at the Directorate of Industries and Enterprise Promotion, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Kavita Nigam, Senior Member of PHDCCI and CHRO at Karam Safety Pvt. Ltd.; Jai Kumar Gupta, General Manager of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), Lucknow; and Atul Srivastava, Senior Regional Director at PHDCCI.
During the workshop, speakers emphasized the need to enhance awareness about government schemes for MSMEs, improve access to financial assistance, and ensure easier entry to digital platforms. They also highlighted the importance of skill development, capacity building, and stronger collaboration among industries to drive sustainable growth.

The event witnessed active engagement from participants, particularly women entrepreneurs, who explored opportunities for expanding their businesses. An interactive question-and-answer session at the end of the programme provided clarity on funding options, policy support, and strategies for business development.
The workshop served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and networking, reinforcing efforts to boost entrepreneurship and strengthen the MSME ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh.
